My birthplace was Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. I lived there with my parents, two brothers and a sister until the age of 20.

My own religious journey started in the Roman Catholic church which I attended all through my childhood and teen years. During those teen years I began to read the Plain Truth magazine. After a lot of thought, I decided to leave my university studies in Dublin where I was studying to be an engineer and emigrate to England to attend the Worldwide Church of God's Bible College in Bricket Wood, Herts.

In 1974 the campus in England closed and I transferred to the sister campus in Pasadena, California. There I met my future wife, Carolyn Anderson who is from Lebanon, Missouri, USA.

The year 1975 was a busy one with my graduation from Ambassador as well as getting married and relocating to Winnipeg, Manitoba to enter the full-time ministry. We ministered to the members there for two years at that time.

Since then Carolyn and I have also served churches in Red Deer, Wetaskiwin, Calgary and Evansburg, Alberta. We also worked in pastoral ministry in the Maritimes, ministering in Sydney, Nova Scotia and Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

We returned to Winnipeg for the second time in the summer of 1995 with our expanded family which includes our daughter Jennifer and two sons, Stephen and Derek.

Personally, Biblical studies have always been a deep interest of mine. Besides pastoring the Winnipeg church since 1995, I have completed a postgraduate degree at Providence Seminary graduating with a Master of Arts in New Testament Studies in 2008. I also very much enjoy travel when I get the chance; especially to visit my family in Ireland.

I view the entire Christian life as a journey. I believe in Christ's active leadership in our lives and in the history of our church. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity over the years to get to know so many Christians across the country.

As Christians, we understand that we are apprentices (disciples) of Jesus Christ; meaning that we are attempting to live the lifestyle that Jesus Christ taught his followers.

We worship together as we enjoy singing praises to God, hearing sermon messages, fellowshipping and seeking to grow and learn more in our apprenticeship to Jesus.

We also enjoy vibrant Kids and Youth Church ministries.

Members look outwards to assist our community and are involved in outreach activities such as Hands of Hope which helps individuals and families in need by providing free furniture/household goods and also through Meals on Wheels.

We have an active Homework Club for children needing help in school and we also offer an English as a second language program which assists new immigrants to learn the English language and settle into Canada.
